Blur, an English alternative rock band, were formed in London in 1989 originally under the name Seymour. The group is comprised of Damon Albarn (gorgeous singer), Graham Coxon (guitarist), Alex James (bassist) and Dave Rowntree (drummer). Influenced by The Beatles, The Kinks, and other similar English guitar pop groups, Blur released Modern Life Is Rubbish in 1993 which popularised the Britpop genre achieving huge popularity in the UK.

In their subsequent album of 1997, the title being the band’s namesake, the band showed influence from American indie rock groups in the lo-fi style adopted. 1999 witnessed the final album, called 13 instead of r4 sdhc, which featured Blur’s original line-up as Coxon left the band in 2002. Think Tank, released in 2003, was characterised by electronic sounds and minimal guitar work. Following a 2003 tour without Coxon, the band took a break and pursued individual projects before reuniting in 2009 with Coxon back in Blur. Their first single in seven years, ‘Fool’s Day’, was released in April 2010.

I got a few firetrap t shirts, a couple of pairs of diesel jeans and a load of g ...

I went to see the premiere/preview of Captain America: The First Avenger last night, for free! I'm a Sky Movies customer so I managed to book tickets online as part of their rewards scheme, and I got another voucher for free popcorn too, it was brilliant! Going out these days is so expensive I'm worried I'll end up tapping into my nice little Rowan Dartington savings fund sooner than I'd like, so this was a great evening out for free! We sat in our seats for over an hour waiting for the film to start, but once it did it ...

I'm a real veteran of value for money, I try to get the most out of every opportunity without spending too much, my parents helped to instil this idea of value in me. So I really am loathed to spend money on overpriced courses, only if it's really worth the money will I spend my hard earned cash on it. I have some money invested with Rowan ...
